there are some good signs on this board, but the one below was the best. no thinking.
babbacombe model village
we went to babbacome model village back in May (!) and i took loads of photos.
so to celebrate the fact i’ve finally got round to posting them, here’s a day dedicated to them
the place is just amazing. you could easily spend half a day there.
it’s just great !
the attention to detail is spot on
and there’s always something to spot wherever you look like this car shop of movie cars
through to natural blending in with created (real trees in the background in the distance)
and annoying things like roadworks outside the holiday village
or confused toilet visitors
and nudists (that’ll cause havoc with your google ads, sorry!)
and who’s this ? it’s hairy hat man, my favourite letter shaped character
great to see a line of bollards
and a traffic disaster
the sense of humour even extends to the toilet sign (which was full sized – actually the sign and toilets were full sized)

in the “world of favourite characters” they had this Matrix recreation which contained a no-dogs sign.
what a brilliant place. go and visit. now.
belfast bingo
this bingo hall looked so fantastic
i even went in to see if i could play. the woman behind the counter thought i was mad and looked a bit suspicious as i was wearing my big camera.
in the end i didn’t play as i would have had to be in there for 2 hours. and i thought that on my own the fun might run out after 10 mins. now, if i’d taken you all with me it would have been much more fun !
and now she’s gone
i walked past this yesterday and noticed she’s been replaced with a plastic 80s disaster which is a shame. this photo was from september but i never got round to posting it.
the strange things on her belly are to stop pigeons landing on it. works for beer bellies too apparently.
breakfast with russel
i had breakfast with russell yesterday before i went to a conference. here he is looking at a photo he took of me taking a photo.

this chap in the parker was acting very randomly by the horse guard near, er, horseguard’s parade. the poor guard was looking a bit freaked out.
luckily mr parker had brought a selection of old lady shopping trollies with him. it took me back to my younger days when i would do something like this for hours on end for no apparent reason. oh happy days.
