glove

here is a glove jane and i found on the way back from the Villa nightclub. i enjoyed the club immensley, but jane wasn’t so sure. part of the problem was that her top became see-through under the ultraviolet lights and all you could see was her bright white bra. this probably wouldn’t have been such an issue, only everyone else there was wearing all black.
the music there was excellent. lots of dark grungey noise – as the evening went on things got poppier. highly recommended.
we left about midnightish so we could get full value out of our hotel ! here was glove we found on the way back:

update: i forgot to mention that some random chap tried to sell us some annadin and a swig of coca-cola whilst we were walking to the nightclub ! he was obviously trying to profit on the back of an urban myth.

mary shelley

did you know Mary Shelley, author of Frankenstein was buried in Bournemouth ? i didn’t. here she is [in her family burial tomb] and me giving a big bald thumbs up

jane spotted this playing card on the ceiling. it was signed by Mike so i suspect it was part of a magician’s trick. i haven’t got a 4 of spades in my card collection so i was very pleased.

scum on the groins

sometimes british sea-side resorts have things their foreign counterparts don’t have. one such thing often present is ‘scum’

sgn of a dog

i’ve seen this dog before. This time it was different as i found the sign tucked away behind some railings. he is a picture of me holding that sign and ‘making it my own’.

bournemouth

yeah – off to bournemouth ! British seaside resorts are so cool.
update: that’s cool as in ‘very cold’. our hotel room didn’t really have any heating to speak of which was a shame.
other than that the hotel we stayed in was fantastic ! Highly recommended (just don’t let them put you in room 96-104 as they are in chillsville).

seasons of joy

it’s season ticket renewal day today. my ticket includes free travel on all parts of the london underground.

another glove

asher spotted another glove. he stalked it for a while before rushing over and taking its photo. he sent me this photo on wednesday but i forgot to display it and he got all upset (poor chap).

he’s under a lot of stress and this is the last thing he needs. i can only apologise and hope that the display of his photo makes up for the sadness i have caused him

great whites

sara from the office found a giant piece of confectionary. it’s a white malteser which is 2cm long (that’s .5cm bigger than a normal malteser). she confirmed that it tasted no good, thus confirming my fears over genetically modified items.
here it is displayed alongside it’s more normal sized friend:

here is one of those old phone boxes like dr who used to drive about in.
i expect some kind of comment from Matt who is the landlord for the server where this blog lives. he loves dr who he does.

here is a weird thing i just heard about on the internet wireless.

we must all learn things from this (not sure what – probably not to listen to the internet wireless and click on links on websites)

trip through time

i’ve been having some troubles getting to the way back machine today as it seems to time-out. i did eventually manage to find a link that did work.

(for interest, i’m compiling info on how web access prices have changed over the last few years and want a few screen grabs of the big ISPs pricing pages since time began)
