korean tea cafe

my good chum warren and i went to a tea bar and had some shakes.  they were cold and not 120 degrees C as advertised

120702_s95_img_2277.jpg

they also sold food.  like tomato sauce on rice or spaghetti

little blue penguins

120630_s95_img_2197.jpg

we went for a walk down a local beach at lunchtime and came across four little blue penguins

120630_s95_img_2190.jpg

whilst there are plenty of these further out to sea, we rarely see them this close unless they are injured (or dead!)

120630_s95_img_2191.jpg

and it turned these were rescue penguins enjoying some exercise in the actual sea

120630_s95_img_2193.jpg

the two ladies were penguin carers and two of them (the penguins) are to be released tomorrow a bit further up the coast

120630_s95_img_2195.jpg

there was something excellent about seeing them in the semi-wild like this rather than in a zoo or aquarium

120630_s95_img_2199.jpg

soon enough it was time for them to go back in to their cat baskets
