signs of hounds
here is another picture of a dog. this one has lots of detail. the person’s arms look a bit mechanical. however, he’s bending his back very sensibly to avoid back strain.
here it is on a seperate occasion facing the other way

slight varient on the usual dog sign. more rounded. was on a charity shop door
i went, and i jolly well got, that photo of a hound from the revolving restaurant.
here is a hound doing a nice leg kick. there is another dog picture i must obtain but it’s in a revolving door so it’s tricky. i shall do my best to obtain this photo for you dear readers this evening.
someone has a pet bowl which they have tied up to this post.
here is the sign of the hound:
here is a picture of dogs on a door in a restaurant in tegel airport.
better photo of this exhibit here
i don’t know much (or care about) dogs. but here is a no-dogs sign of a version i haven’t seen before.
you may wonder about the legality of signs which threaten fines for dog fouling, and more importantly who gets to keep the money. here’s the answer travelling through UK parliament at the moment:
Litter and Fouling of Land by Dogs Bill
I was watching Open All Hours last night.
a customer entered the shop having recently stood in some dog poo. He said “I blame the owners”.
The Ronnie Barker character responded “I agree … and the dogs”
I’ve heard of local restaurants catching cats, dogs etc to cook and serve to unsuspecting customers. I hadn’t heard of ‘girl guide hot dogs’ before
note: I’ve put this in the ‘signs of dogs’ category as it is a sign of a (hot) dog.
( not to be confused with guide dogs )
here is a sign on the Royal Festival Hall door:
It’s a very square dog with a mad eye
looks like the chap is holding a baby’s bottle.
another sign with a dog on it. notice how the person has not bent their knees to pick up the waste. The dog looks eager to get away before any serious back injuring is sustained
this has a feel of infinity (binfinity maybe). it’s on a dog poo bin and seems to requesting kids’ waste too.
in the picture the grown up looks like they are carrying a box with themselves and the kid and dog in. or perhaps it’s a portable tv showing a video of themselves.
whatever, it’s a mirror within a mirror within a mirror or real life don’t you think ?
i have been taking pictures of dogs on signs for the last week to add to my blog in a new category called Signs (of dogs)
(i have a number pending publication – there is only so much you can do with a french keyboard in an Internet cafe with the euro-meter running).
incredibly, it seems that grahame is also collecting similar pictures for his blog. looky here now
i find it interesting that dog signs are so unique. a dog is a dog right ? where are the european sign conventions ?
i don’t like dogs, but i do like signs about dogs.
here is a picture of a dog on a sign.
is the dog attempting to poo on the red cross ?
has it failed twice and hopes for a winning third poo ?
why is the cross steaming ?
i like the word ‘poo’
