unlucky sofa
a friend threw out this sofa. it’s not clear whether he threw it out because of the spring situation, or whether the spring situation is as a result of the throwing out. i didn’t ask.
ian and carolyn’s house

and here is esther with a giant bunch of flowers. she emerged from ian and carolyn’s garden holding this big bunch of flowers and we all thought she’d just pulled them up out of the garden. but then it emerged she had found them in their compost heap.
carolyn kindly said we could keep them. we didn’t ask about the old tea bags which were also in the compost heap.

the funkypancake insect identification service
does anyone know what this white insect is ? our friend ian spotted it but didn’t know what it was, and wondered if any of the nature-loving (or hating!) funkypancake readers knew what it was. apparently it was a few centimetres long and had two sets of wings.
was it an angel do you think ?
