nuts
no bolts, but loads of nuts.
happy birthday esther !
it’s esther’s birthday this morning. she was very excited and got up an hour early by mistake.
when she saw me going down stairs to get ready for work she wispered very loudly “daddy, please don’t open my presents”. i assured her i wouldn’t. and i didn’t.
esther sketches
i love kids drawings. here is some esther art work.
cambridge
i got up early to arrive in Cambridge an hour before my meeting today so i could have a mooch about. it’s a very nice place.
i got thrown out of King’s twice as it wasn’t open (i didn’t realise – twice)
king’s church with some nice music coming from it (but you can’t hear it on this picture):
some other college that was open, but i found it too late to fit in a visit before my meeting:
slippery floor
another sit on the floor slippery floor sign (like this one)
here is the same sign in written form:
the signs of brick lane
street signs can be a good indicator of the life of a street. here are some signs from Brick Lane:
new-media entertainment sticker crazy
multinational
industrial
cultural (spitalfield market in the background)
informal
residential
corporate
non-english
slippery floor
paddington station slippery floor screen anouncement informs us that due to the inclement weather surfaces may be slippy.
street cleaner crazy
here are some actual pictures taken by matt, the funkypancake web-landlord.
it shows the real reason why people packed in to London last night. i can’t believe i missed seeing such a spectacle myself.
at work i have a powerpoint presentation consisting of a variety of streetcleaners i use to demonstrate the evolution of Internet access speeds. i suspect these photo might appear in that presentation (if matt allows me!)
open plan
great view, but a bit drafty
david flowers and plants
they had run out of davids when i got there. or perhaps it was just a statement.
