Tee-hee. Yeah, it was probably a trainee flying fan. Presumably it couldn’t quite get alof as it hopped out the window and got a nasty bump on the way down, hence the broken base 🙂
or it was so powerful it broke free. but it’s very freedom was it’s (quite literal) downfall, as those very same tethers which held it back also provided vital life in the form of electricity.

Looks like a perfectly good discarded fan to me, albeit without a base.
perhaps that was the problem. It took off and flew away.
