letter boxes and door numbers are an art over here in new zealand and the place is all the better for it

this house has taken the inside of a pooter, sprayed it black and stuck it on its fence.  lovely idea.

not a number you see much on sign posts.  in fact, thinking about it, 30, 40 and 70 (plus occasionally 60 and increasingly 20) have pretty much cornered the numbered signs market.

7 8 6 ?

we all know that seven ate nine.  but it looks like seven ate six here too.  which is why it’s so large.

i think this is an old sign.  you don’t see threes like this in the modern era (as far as i’m aware)

1-7 then it all goes a bit strange.  not sure if the miniature is anything to by.  the little chap to the right is quite small too.
