babbacombe model village
we went to babbacome model village back in May (!) and i took loads of photos.
so to celebrate the fact i’ve finally got round to posting them, here’s a day dedicated to them
the place is just amazing. you could easily spend half a day there.
it’s just great !
the attention to detail is spot on
and there’s always something to spot wherever you look like this car shop of movie cars
through to natural blending in with created (real trees in the background in the distance)
and annoying things like roadworks outside the holiday village
or confused toilet visitors
and nudists (that’ll cause havoc with your google ads, sorry!)
and who’s this ? it’s hairy hat man, my favourite letter shaped character
great to see a line of bollards
and a traffic disaster
the sense of humour even extends to the toilet sign (which was full sized – actually the sign and toilets were full sized)

and on the subject of comedy characters …
in the “world of favourite characters” they had this Matrix recreation which contained a no-dogs sign.
what a brilliant place. go and visit. now.

i didn’t even spot bt tower in the background of this photo when i took it.
i did spot the strange shadow though

this is like a giant needle and thread. sort of. if nothing else it give me a chance to use my favourite word: “bobbin”
glasgow bollard statue
Anne from I like recommended i searched out this statue and it didn’t disappoint:
“Probably the one thing right up your street in Glasgow is the equestrian statue outside GOMA which always has a police cone on its head. On a good day both horse and rider are sporting one. I keep meaning to write that up for Nothing To See Here!”
