of all the british coins in circulation, the £2 is the fattest, making it ideal for restyling as a key.
i assume the key cutter (key-monger?) gets to keep any scrap which is how he makes his crust.

i caused a bit of a street pile-up whilst taking this picture as the person behind me didn’t expect me to lunge on the floor to take a photo of a broken lighter. if there’s one thing to expect in london, it’s the unexpected, but people are still surprised by the unordinary.

thames path – part 8 tadpole bridge to newbridge
it was back to the Thames Path yesterday for the next installment of the Thames Path walk.
We started back where we left off last time – at the fantastically named Tadpole Bridge.
It’s always adverse weather when we walk the thames path and this time there was flooding. this part of the path was inaccessible so we had to climb through a jungle (well, little wood).
But there were lots of bits of the walk where we slide sideways on slimey mud as much as we walked forward.
after a few hours we arrived at Newbridge. Despite its name, Newbridge is in fact 13th century.

how brilliant is this ? it’s a dog sign (of a varietty i haven’t seen before) stuck on a human toilet door.
they should stick human signs on dog toilets. or perhaps they already do do.
