playing hide and seek with a cow
i had a nice game of hide and seek with a cow earlier this week. she was quite easy to spot on this one (curiosity got the better of her)
but can you spot her in this one ?
(it wasn’t actually the same cow)
nearly easter
the thing about christmas is that, from a christian’s point of view, it points to easter which is when the no-longer-baby jesus died (but he obviously had to be born first).
anyroadup, cadbury’s are obviously in agreement as i bought (and ate) my first easter egg yesterday. and here it is/was.
camera anti-shake doing its thing
i’ve been enjoying my new work-a-day camera. it’s a Canon IXUS 850 IS and is quite smashing.

our vicar used an excellent set of visual aids for the christmas morning service. they were made by one of our friends who turns out is a secret fantastic maker of such things.

christmas dinner number 5 – the big one
yesterday was christmas day and jane’s parents came over for lunch with their friend Janet
jane cooked a fantastic best-ever christmas lunch with about a million vegetables. missing from my plate shown here are parsnips (yucky fake carrots) and leeks (which had not made it to the table at this point)
and so the long sleepless night begins

the knitted nativity
our friends have a knitted nativity which is very cool. we saw it a couple of years ago here and interestingly i took a picture of the shepherds then too.
this time i also got to meet the person who had knitted it, but like all great artists she was too shy to be photographed.
santa got snowed in
(from my trip to the winter olympics back in March – he’d obviously been there a while)
and so christmas begins
yesterday was a great day – it started with a party in the Rectory, then we went to our friends tony and tanyas, then on to another party in the early evening. christmas has definitely started.
