crabbing
bother-in-law kev knows all about catching crabs. first you attach a fish head (or bacon) to a hook
then you dangle it off a pier
then everyone gathers round and waits
until you pull the line up with a crab attached to the fish head
when you’ve got a bucket full (we had 20), display them proudly
preferably against a moody sky
and finish off with a nice crab race
waddesdon manor
whilst jane has been busy with her exam marking (if you feel sorry for people doing exams, spare a few thoughts for those who have to mark them – and their families!), anyway, i took the girls to waddesdon manor where we met my mum
less tulips this time
we’re back
we’ve been in devon for the last week, but i preloaded lots of funkypancake goodness so hopefully you won’t have missed me – although i did stuff up by forgetting that May had 31 days not 30 – but i managed to man handle the server remotely so you might not have noticed.
plenty of photos to follow. here was our holiday house. it was called Columbia in Ashcolme (near Teignmouth / Dawlish) and was mostly good. here is a list of things which weren’t good about it.
The bar was closed our week too, although we didn’t put this on the list
