i got a very excited email from Mark a few weeks back telling me all about his local bin men. i asked for photographic evidence and here it is ! (i created the animation, so it’s probaldy not as quick as this in reality)

Hi Dave, This has taken a long time, (I’ve been away from home a lot with work) but I came up with the goods, here are some decent hi-res photos of our local robot arm grabbing “garbage truck” It’s been a good few years since we had the old school gang of rubbish men to pick up bags, so this seems to be the general direction that residential collection is going all over the country. (This is Raleigh, North Carolina, USA)
