lost dog

a stray toy dog.
just after i’d bent down to take this photo some builders said “i wouldn’t leave that there mate”, to which i replied “neither would i” and walked off.
i think they were a bit confused

archie’s party and liz’s mob

i’ve obscured the phone number, but it was there for anyone to call. i like the little writting which says “i have left messages”

owl

well, it seems the people of Tottenham Court Road suffered Parrot Fatigue and the effectiveness of the costume wore off. they’ve stuck with the bird theme though, so here we have an owl. (see the complete collection here)
here he is from the front

and here he is attracting a large crowd to the front

a parade of brushes

here are three brushes i saw earlier in the week (on the same day i saw the spade in the shade)

brushes were all over london yesterday too. here’s a few that i saw

bird of prey

here’s a bird of prey at a country show demonstration. no idea what sort.

church signs

here’s a sign at the entrance to the cathedral in Vienna. note the dog sign at the bottom but the one directly above it quite interesting. no people with sticks for arms allowed in.

268

i love taking pictures of the numbered minis. it’s great how they unexpectedly appear round a corner and zoom along the street i’m walking down.
i have to grab for my camera from it’s holster and shoot without thinking. it’s great when i get a nice one with a blurred background and the car in focus like this.
it’s my own special video game.

sculpting behind bars

this chap was in a caged area doing some sand sculpture.

it was quite impressive (click for bigger version to inspect detail)

fashion tips in the wind

it’s not uncommon to see outside broadcasts on the South Bank, particularly from This Morning whose studio is right next to the river..
yesterday when i walked by they were having trouble with a load of fashionable garments which were blowing away.

the presenter is the one on the left.
