it’s a leopard. cheetahs are much skinnier, and just have plain circular spots, not the rosettes of a leopard. it’s also not a jaguar, because it doesn’t have smaller spots on the insides of its rosettes.

but then maybe next time i’ll think to look on the cage door and take a picture of the sign !
