we’re on a God-holiday weekend in a boarding school at the moment.
it’s always interesting to see the peripheral trends in the Christian faith, particularly amongst the youth.
It appears it is important to die your hair red. overhead by one girl awaiting to have the silver foil removed from her head: “i hope it’s really horrible and i get suspended from school”.
the centrality of the cross is not undermined by this activity however. I like to think its a personal response to Christ’s blood shed to set people free. or maybe i’m being un-shallow.
