we went for a walk down a local beach at lunchtime and came across four little blue penguins<\/p>\n

whilst there are plenty of these further out to sea, we rarely see them this close unless they are injured (or dead!)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

and it turned these were rescue penguins enjoying some exercise in the actual sea<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

the two ladies were penguin carers and two of them (the penguins) are to be released tomorrow a bit further up the coast<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

there was something excellent about seeing them in the semi-wild like this rather than in a zoo or aquarium<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

soon enough it was time for them to go back in to their cat baskets <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
