To relieve the monotony on long journeys we have always played a game called ‘Yellow Car’. The first person to see one shouts the phrase and gets the point (negative points for vans or lorries etc.: also negative if popular opinion says its bronze not yellow).
The highest scorer at the end of the journer wins.
