i didn’t go too close, but i’m sure they were still alive ! i try to avoid taking pictures of dead people wherever possible (though i was a goth in my teens, so perhaps the spirit still lives on).
yesterday there did seem to be people lying in the street all over the place. i saw at least three groups of street people lying on random bits of pavements. usually they go in to doorways etc.
but these two looked so comfortable, especially the one at the back with his head on his friend’s shoulder.
Did you check that they were breathing?!
