there was masses of pollen (or something) in the air today. it was settling big time and made this little lake look like it was frozen with frosty whiteness. quite amazing.
duck with a stupid hat on
esther asked me why this duck had a big lump on its head. i didn’t know, but i said you probably would. please help me solve another nature problem so i don’t appear a completely useless dad !

recycling styles
two bins next to each other. each with different signs. there’s a real difference between these two recyclers. i relate more to the alien guy on the left rather than the speed freak on the right.

here is our friend tony (regular commenter on this blog) and his daughters (who are esther and kezia’s best friends). we had a lovely time at wellington country park.
a new dog
it’s always great to find a new hound sign – especially when they approach the subject from a completely different angle.
this one is more like a cloud than a dog. but then, so are some dogs.
this is the art
remember the pallets i thought might be art because they said they were an art exhibition ? i sent an email to jeremy lim because his address was on the poster.
today he emailed me back and i popped in on the way to the station this evening.
the art was in fact downstairs next to the pallets (so it wasn’t a street installation afterall). the show was on the theme of ‘bags’ and there were some really good exhibits by some students (a really nice bunch)
here is a photo of the make-shift gallery. not a great photo but i was intimidated by the proper artists there.
