I don't think the posters are ads for anything? My guess is that they are a play on the Raisin Maid logo. Sun dried raisins from California. Maybe it's just and American thing?
You see it all the time on T-shirts these days, Crush, Pepsi, Ford - the use the logo but change the word or meaning to something either meaningless or anti-product.

I LOVE your site! I'm not a comment SPAMMER. I just came across it the other day and love your photos! I too enjoy taking pix of things that perhaps others may not notice. Do you carry around a little point and shot or a "real" camera? Or a bit of both.

i always carry my compact camera (it's a canon 850IS if you are interested) when i' out and about during the week at work.
And then at weekends or special events i'll take my DSLR (a Canon 350D with a few lenses and flash).
