i'm not sure if this is this one
another photo from peter on his budapest travels.
we've had this dog sign before, but it was in the early days, and this is on a black bin with a yellow lid.
things to note are the shape of the person's head, their crouching position and the words 'use this bin' which are quite aggressive
this is probably the best of my spiral staircase pictures from here which i didn't publish at the time
for no money you can walk down Oxford Street in London and see some of your actual things as actually used in the actual harry potter film
much cheaper than going to a museum or something
but i should have told you about this ages ago as it's gone now. sorry about that. (i'm raiding some of my preuploaded but not published entries as i've been ill for the last couple of days)
last seen (head on) here
there's no right way - that's relativism isn't it ? i absolutely don't believe that.
this sign warns us that noise levels between 85 and 90 db(A) may be present and that ear protection is available.
if only i'd had this access to this website when i walked past. could have confirmed whether the noise level was in fact 'very annoying' .
i love this slippery floor sign. this is a better photo than this one i took a while back
well, i feel we're rapidly converging on the walk of fame mystery. I popped in to St Pauls's Church in Covent Garden on the way between meetings today. It's a lovely church and well worth a look if you are down that way.
I spoke to their Concert Director who is a charming fellow. He explained that the church would love the Walk of Fame to be a permanent feature but it is currently 'on tour'.
The walk of fame as seen here was actually just a temporary floor on top of the main floor as a temporary measure due to planning rules.
I now have the contact details of the television production company (on the back of the postcard in the picture). they should be able to give us some more details, like where precisely is the walk of fame now (in storage?) and will it ever come back.
i'm really pleased with this picture.
click on it for the big version and admire the arrow work. it's great how it's parallel with the ground, requiring the bollard to be upsway down.
and note the wonky road arrow in the distance pointing in the opposite way.
funkypancake - sometimes it's almost like art.
this was quite near this
here's DJ of the year 2005 Danny Baker. i saw him yesterday lunchtime and he seemed a genuinely nice bubbly chap.
yesterday i also had two separate sightings of ricky gervais from two separate colleagues in two separate places. how strange is that ?
i found this chap on Sussex Gardens, London on the way to paddington station. it was face down which is the best way to find passport photos. the joy which greets you when you turn it over and find it's a real passport photo is amazing !
more like this on davescollections of course
