tombola prizes are usually of much lower quality than raffle ones are normally stuff which has been donated. so if you win a bottle of wine, chances are it's been on the tombola circuit for a number of years and you are best not drinking it.
kids love tombolas. and so do i. i see them as a kind of rubbish russian roulette where you actually don't want to win !

...at least tombolae are not generally fatal (unless the wine is particularly rough).
