what is a marrow?
according to this translator it's 'squash' which is what would happen if this marrow fell on you.

is there such big differences between American English and Canadian English as there is between Americian English and good olde English English ?
American English and Canadian English have some differences... but I don't think they are as great as the ones on that list! When I lived in Illinois they thought it odd that I would use the word "phone" as a verb. Most word differences between the US and Canada are pronounciations... but there are lots of regional differences too like "pop" and "soda" etc.
