Lovely pictures.
Remind me of our school trip to Cambridge back in the early eighties. I was sooo happy to find _that_ rare record at a stall. Then we went to the Camra festival. Then we went on a boat on the river. Bad idea. Until this day I have no idea how I managed to keep the record dry but it still is one of the most precious assests in my vinyl collection.
I really like Cambridge. Unfortunately the company I work for decided to move its UK office from there to Reading. Bad idea.
moving to reading is always a bad idea ;-)
go on. tell us what the record was !
Oh, it was a compilation of extremely rare Northern Soul gems called "Out On The Floor Tonight" which was virtually impossible to find in my neck of the woods.
It wasn't that rare in England, then, but is now. And it has a most beautiful painted cover. So I'm glad I managed to keep it dry although the largest part of myself was dripping wet.
Wow. What amazing pictures. Reminds me of that one painting, "Lady of Shallot".
