we've been to hull and back
we've been away this weekend.
we journey'ed to the north of england to a small hamlet called Hull. Here is a birdseye view (what a pea would see).
we stayed with our lovely friends richard, julia, joseph, hannah and bethany. they have a variety of aninmals.
we had a great time and i got loads of photos to show you. but i'll pace myself.
meanwhirl, here are esther and kezia taking bella the dog for a walk.
the capital city of Canada, Ottawa, is connected to the city of Hull, Quebec, by a few bridges. it's just across the river from parliament.
i've been there a few times. in fact, i bought my first cassette tape ever there. it was quite a momentous occassion.
what was the tape ? we need to know !
Pre-recorded or blank?
i was 16, and i had up to that point only owned blank tapes in which i recorded songs off of the radio.
the first actual album cassette tape i purchased, in the aforementioned hull, was "joey lawrence." if you've ever seen the television show "blossom," he was blossom's brother joey on the show.
the last song on side two was my favourite. i knew exactly how long to rewind the tape from the end to end up exactly at the beginning again to play it over and over and over and over and over and over perfectly to drive my family crazy.
My first cassette was by Slade and was called "Slayed" (very smart people!).
