Looking at 1p and 2p coins I see that the first says "one penny" and the seconds says "2 new pence". So maybe you also need the "new" if it is two. (5, 20, 50 don't have the "new" - I don't have a 10)

we should move to Euro(s). it would be much simpler than all these sovereigns, nickels and nuggets.
